Plans and prices
Prices are in Saudi riyals and are the full amount charged: nothing is added when you pay.
A price change applies to purchases made after it. A period you have already paid for is never repriced.
Billing periods and renewal
A plan is bought for a month or for a year. Renewal is manual: Ekal never charges your card automatically, and stores no card.
Renewal opens shortly before your period ends, and the new period continues from the end of the old one, so no day is lost. After a period ends you have a few days of grace to renew.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your billing page. The plan then does not renew, and you keep your access, and the period's credits, until the period ends.
Refunds
To ask for a refund, write to us through the contact page. When a payment is refunded, what it bought is taken back: the period, the seat or the credits.
AI credits
Every plan includes AI credits each month. They refill every month on your plan's day, yearly plans too, and they are used first.
A plan's credits do not roll over: what is left at the end of a month is not carried into the next one.
Credits you buy as top-ups never expire, and they are used after the plan's credits. The packs:
Searching laws and case law is free. Each AI feature has its price in credits, shown before it runs or on your credits page.
Firms and seats
A firm plan covers the owner's seat. Each additional lawyer is a paid seat: added during a period, it costs the days left in that period, and the invitation is sent once it is paid.
A lawyer who leaves, or is removed, is unlinked at once. The seat stays paid to the end of the period, is not refunded, and can be given to another lawyer in that period.
The firm's credits form one shared pool. The owner sets each member's monthly allocation, answers requests for more, and can top the pool up.
The Trainee plan
A trainee can buy the Trainee plan, monthly or yearly, at the price in the table above. It gives AI credits every month, yearly plans too, on the same rules as every plan.
It includes your own workspace (your practice cases and drafts), the Saudi case templates, Word and PDF export, and laws and case-law search.
Free for every trainee, with or without the plan: your profile, training opportunities and applications, work on the firm cases you are invited to, and certificates. Every trainee starts with welcome credits.
Inside a case of your firm, while the firm's plan is active (its grace days included), the firm covers templates, export, search and AI: AI is paid from the firm's pool first, up to the monthly share your firm's owner gives you, then from your own credits. Everywhere else, AI is paid from your own credits only.
If you join a firm, you keep your plan and nobody pays twice: firm work is billed to the firm first, and your plan covers everything else. If your plan ends, your personal cases are locked, never deleted.
Trainees
Training is free for every trainee, and the Trainee plan above is optional. A trainee in a firm may also get a monthly share of the firm's credits from its owner, for the firm's cases.
The lawyer first-month offer
While the offer runs (it is announced on the pricing page), a lawyer's first subscription to the monthly Lawyer or Lawyer Pro plan pays for one month and gets a second month free. It is not offered on yearly plans, to trainees, or to firms and their members, and it is given once per account and once per licence number.
Your first period then lasts two months. Your plan's monthly AI credits are given once, at payment, and cover both months: they are not refilled in the free month. You can buy top-ups at any time.
From your first renewal you pay the regular monthly price, and the new period continues from the end of the two months. Renewal is manual, as for every plan, and you can cancel at any time: your access lasts until the two months end.
Refunds follow the refunds section above. A refund of the offer payment ends the whole two-month period, and the offer counts as used.
Payment methods
mada, Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay, processed by Moyasar. Your card goes straight to Moyasar: Ekal never sees or stores it. Your bank may ask you to confirm a payment (3-D Secure).
Receipts
Every payment has a receipt on your billing page, with the amount and the payment method.
